The real stars of some films aren't just actors. In the case of movie franchises like "Fast & Furious" and "Transformers," the automobiles used are just as important as the drivers, which makes the selections in each film both incredibly important and highly anticipated. Although "Transformers 4" isn't scheduled to appear in theaters until July 2014, the mastermind behind the films, director Michael Bay, is already revealing some of the cars fans can expect to see on the big screen. 

One of the latest additions to the cast of cars is a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. With a top speed of 217 miles per hour, the vehicle has plenty of power to go along with its incredibly sleek exterior – practically ensuring it will be a star in the upcoming "Transformers" flick. 

The Lamborghini Aventador will join an impressive lineup of vehicles. Bay previously revealed that a modern Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse – otherwise known as the world's fastest convertible – would be featured in "Transformers 4." A classic 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS will make an appearance, Top Speed reports. 

An old favorite is also slated to get a facelift in an effort to upgrade with the times. Optimus Prime, one of the main robot characters in the film, is getting an overhaul inspired by a Western Star truck. His new look will include side pipes and numerous smoke stacks, according to AutoBlog.
