When "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" hit theaters on June 28, moviegoers were not going just to catch a glimpse of the actors. Like the previous two films in the series, the Chevrolet Camaro was featured prominently, much to the delight of the popular manufacturer.
"Its role in the films helped make the Camaro the best-selling sports car in America, and one of the best-known cars of any kind around the world," Rick Scheidt, Chevrolet's vice president of marketing, told USA Today.
A yellow and black Camaro has portrayed the character of Bumblebee in each of the movies, and according to the news source, the company recently unveiled a special edition coupe in recognition of the film. In addition to looking like the car from the movie, the update model includes a number of impressive features.
In addition to sitting on 20-inch wheels, the car is outfitted with a black leather interior that is highlighted by yellow stitching everywhere from the center console to the armrests to the seats. Transformers logos also make an appearance throughout the vehicle as well.
