A used Jeep Wrangler just might keep prospective buyers in style this summer, according to the editors of AutoWeek.
The car was named one of the 10 coolest summer cars this year, and they say it’s not just for the open-air ride offered by most models or the available four-wheel drive in some models.
“It doesn’t get any more all-American than a Jeep Wrangler,” said Dutch Mandel, AutoWeek editor and associate publisher, adding that with its off-roading ability, you can drive it anywhere and have a ball doing it.”
The Wrangler was the original sports utility vehicle, according to Mike Accavitti, Chrysler Director Brand Marketing, since it was adapted from the Jeeps used by Allied forces on World War II battlefields.
For those looking for a bargain in a used car, the 2005 model could offer one affordable choice to research.
It’s “fun to drive,” and has the same styling that has made it a common feature on roadways, according to Edmunds.com editors who also agree that it’s got “go anywhere capability.”
