Not long after being arrested for driving under the influence, former child star Amanda Bynes found herself in some driving trouble again over the weekend. Bynes allegedly sideswiped another vehicle while trying to pass it, sparking a chase that involved six police cars and a helicopter, E! News reports.
Despite the response, the accident was seemingly much more minor than it was made out to be. The man driving the other car says she made contact with her black Range Rover when she was passing him on the right. When she didn't pull over, he called the police and reported a hit and run.
Law enforcement officials were eventually able to catch up with the "She's All That" star and found her car barely suffered any noticeable damage. Investigators say it was likely that she was unaware she even made contact with the motorists vehicle.
"She wasn't given a citation, no one was arrested, no one was hurt," a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told E! "She didn't even know she was involved in an accident. We took a traffic collision report and there will be no further investigation."
While Bynes may be not have been in the wrong here, the fact that she has had two run-ins with the law in just a matter of weeks in a little troubling. Bynes' first issue occurred in early April when she got in a minor fender bender with a police car and was arrested for driving under the influence. Additionally, in March she got a ticket for talking on her phone behind the wheel.
